First Work and Holiday visa
The First Work and Holiday visa (subclass 462) allows young people to holiday and work in Australia for up to 12 months. This visa lets people 18 to 30 years old (inclusive) have an extended holiday in Australia and work here to help fund their trip.

With this visa you can
- Do short-term work in Australia to help pay for your holiday
- Study for up to 4 months
- Travel to and from Australia as many times as you want
- Do 3 months of specified subclass 462 work to become eligible for a second Work and Holiday visa
Requirements
- Have a passport from an eligible country
- Be 18 to 30 years old (inclusive)
- Apply from outside Australia
- Not be accompanied by dependent children
- Apply on your own. You can’t include family members in your application
- Not have previously entered Australia on a subclass 462 or 417 visa. If you previously entered Australia on a subclass 462 visa, see the second Work and Holiday visa.
Second Work and Holiday visa
The Second Work and Holiday visa (subclass 462) allows eligible young people to extend their stay in Australia for another 12 months after completing their First Work and Holiday visa. This visa is available to applicants who have undertaken specified work in regional Australia. With our company’s support, applicants receive step-by-step guidance, assistance in preparing required documents, and advice on extending work and travel opportunities in Australia.

- Have previously entered Australia on a subclass 462 visa. If you haven’t, see the first Work and Holiday visa.
- If in Australia, hold a substantive visa or your last substantive visa expired less than 28 days ago.
- Have a passport from an eligible country.
- Be 18 to 30 years old (inclusive)
- Not be accompanied by dependent children.
- Have completed 3 months of specified subclass 462 work.
- Apply on your own. You can’t include family members in your application.
Third Work and Holiday visa
Requirements
- Have previously held 2 subclass 462 visas in Australia. If you haven’t, see the first Work and Holiday visa or second Work and Holiday visa.
- If in Australia, hold a substantive visa or your last substantive visa expired less than 28 days ago.
- Have a passport from an eligible country.
- Be 18 to 30 years old (inclusive).
- Have undertaken 6 months of specified subclass 462 work
- Not be accompanied by dependent children.
- Apply on your own. You can’t include family members in your application.
This visa lets people 18 to 30 years old (inclusive) who currently hold, or who have held, a second Work and Holiday (subclass 462) visa, have a third working holiday in Australia. It allows you to extend your stay while continuing to work and travel.
